It is not often that you see this little family. A Pallid Cuckoo (Cacomantis pallidus) chick that has been raised by a pair of Superb Fairywrens (Malurus cyaneus) would have removed any wren eggs or chicks from the nest so that the step-parents would only have one (large) chick to look after.
