Around Lake Esmond, next door to where we live here in Ballarat, over the coming months, we will see lots of damselflies and dragonflies. This photo taken in December 2013, is of a Common Bluetail Damselfly (Ischnura heterosticta) resting on a water plant near the edge of Lake Esmond.
