The Tasmanian Native Hen (Tribonyx mortierii) is a flightless bird about the size of a chicken, and endemic to Tasmania. It is also VERY LOUD with a pair making a noise that sounds like a donkey! Some people say that if you are hungry, put a Native Hen in one pot and a stone in another. When the stone is soft, the Native Hen should be ready 😁
