Bees, Byaduk Caves, near Hamilton, Victoria

Standing at the edge of one of the Byaduk Caves, we could hear a strong buzzing sound. On closer inspection, we could see bees heading into the foliage about a metre below where we were standing. Seems not just the Welcome Swallows and bats using the caves. Not sure if these are common or garden variety honey bees, or whether they are a native bee. I think the former. But I wasn’t going to hang around to long to see if they stung!

Oh yeah, what are you gonna do? Release the dogs? Or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouth and when they bark they shoot bees at you? - Album
