Black Swan, Lake Wendouree, Ballarat

September 23, 2021 admin Ballarat Birds Lake Wendouree Victoria Waterfowl

Families of Black Swans (Cygnus atratus) are a familiar sight around Lake Wendouree, Ballarat, and can be a bit of a road hazard. They tend to cross whenever they feel like it, and even stop in the middle of the road! This time of year, we start to see many cygnets too. Photo taken September 2021.
