Indian Bean Tree, Castlemaine, Victoria

A plant critter today. The impressive Indian Bean Tree (Catalpa bignonioides) at the Castlemaine Botanical Gardens, Castlemaine, Victoria, is also known as the Southern Catalpa or Cigartree. According to the Mount Alexander Shire Council, this tree is the largest of its kind in Victoria. It is endemic to the south eastern United States (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi).
