We drove up to Lock 9 on the Murray River on the weekend. On the way back, this family group of emus (Dromaius novaehollandiae) crossed our path. With emus, the male looks after the young’uns. This was on Lock 9 Road, Cullulleraine, not far from the Sturt Highway. Nice to see.
