Cattle Egrets with, er, Cattle!

Interesting that the Cattle Egret’s Latin name is Bubulcus ibis! But egrets are not ibises.

This photo of Cattle Egrets with their arch-nemesis, cattle, was taken in October 2021 at Lake Coragulac, Alvie, Victoria.

The egrets are in breeding plumage too. Can’t say the same for the cattle!
